2018 MISSION POINTS AND OTHER ASSISTANCE

ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C.

Though small in number these brethren remain strong in the faith and committed to reaching out to their local community. It is however imperative that they continue to receive financial support in order to continue their work. Meetings are pending in effort to determine the oversight and future of this work.

STRASBOURG, FRANCE

“The Frerot family” Daniel, Tammy and their two daughters, are doing a good work in Strasbourg. They continue to have steady growth with good visitor interest from the community.  This work has its challenges, but is going well.

KELLER, VIRGINIA

Brother Marc Lee continues to do a good work with this small congregation on the eastern shore of Virginia. They’re facing many challenges. We continue to support their vision.

HALLS HARBOR ROAD CHURCH OF CHRIST, HARBINGER, N.C. (formerly the Seaside / Nags Head Church of Christ)

In mid-October, 2015, Colonel and Kellie Pratt began laboring here. Unfortunately, they left in June, 2017. Volunteer Speakers / Teachers from nearby Hampton Roads Area (VA) have filled-in weekly. A meeting is pending with Supporting Churches in an effort to determine the oversight and future of this work.

MARSH HARBOR, BAHAMAS

We will continue helping support the missionary family in Marsh Harbor in cooperation with the West Broward congregation in Plantation, Florida.

COMMONWEALTH CHURCH OF CHRIST—MANILA, PHILIPPINES

Jann Diamante, Frank & Nila Ingles’ son-in-law, is the preacher for this congregation and is doing a good work. After losing some monthly support they must have help for the meeting house monthly rent and other expenses.

HISPANIC MISSIONS

In cooperation with the Three Chopt congregation and the Southwest congregation, Cawson Street is an integral sponsor of the Hispanic Mission Outreach in Metro-Richmond / Henrico / Chesterfield VA. Brother Lucas Vasconcellos and family have relocated to Florida. In Spring-2016, Brother Hector Fernandez and his wife, Mariam, began laboring with this Mission. Hector has been preaching for 27 years. He graduated from a Church of Christ Bible College (South America). He has also served as Director of the College. He has a history of “church growth” in all areas where he has worked. They have been a true blessing. In 2016 included ten baptisms; hosted a seminar, “Order in Your Home”, with 100+ guests and speakers from other Hispanic congregations in Raleigh, Goldsboro, Winston-Salem, Harrisonburg, and Maryland; developed an active Teen Group; weekly Bible studies with members, their families & friends.

GALWAY, IRELAND

The Galway church is a relatively new work and certainly new to us. Scott and Rebecca Shanahan and daughter are the second missionary family to staff this work. Its oversight is by the Clinton Church of Christ (Clinton, TN). There are about six members; plus several regular visitors / families (mostly Nigerians).
